Most questions have a quick answer here.

The numbers look wrong or too low

Google Trends returns normalised relative interest, scaled 0–100 within a single result set — never a count of searches. Two separate queries are not comparable to each other. Searching a topic id rather than a literal phrase usually scores far higher, because a topic aggregates every spelling and translation of one concept.

A query was rejected or asked me to sign in

Trending searches and topic lookup are free and need no account. Interest over time, interest by region, related queries, and full research run against a monthly allowance, so your assistant will offer to connect an account the first time it reaches for one. Check what is left on your account page.

Results seem out of date

Responses are cached according to how quickly the underlying data moves — 15 minutes for a one-day series, up to 12 hours for multi-year history, which barely changes day to day. If Google rate-limits us we serve a slightly older answer rather than an error.

Something returned an error

Include the tool name, what you asked, and roughly when. An HTTP 429 means Google throttled the request rather than that anything was wrong with your query; retrying shortly afterwards usually works.

Billing

Plans, invoices, payment method, and cancellation are all handled from your account page. Cancelling keeps access until the end of the period you have paid for, after which the account returns to the free tier.
